Laser Processing Ph.D Position in Italy

Open PhD Position
Open position for a PhD candidate at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. The PhD
course is organized by the ICT International Doctorate School of the University of Modena and
Reggio Emilia ( www.ict.unimore.it ). The position is funded for three years by the Italian Research
Ministry.
The research activities will be focused on laser manufacturing, specifically modeling and simulating
laser surface treatments and laser micromanufacturing and will be coordinated by Dr. Leonardo
Orazi.
Skills and attitudes to numerical programming and a good knowledge of the mechanical and
thermal behavior of materials are requested.
