Abstract:  As an emerging technology, the wireless mesh network is an effective way to provide a solution to the special commercial uses. In this paper, we research on the performance of the radio metric Ad hoc on-demand distance vector (RM-AODV) path selection protocol on Media Access Control (MAC) layer in IEEE 802.11s WMN. The property of on-demand and proactive of RM-AODV will be discussed. Then we focus on the determination of the air-time metric based on the QoS performance and power consumption factor. The end-to-end path selection time will be simulated at the end of the paper. © 2011 IEEE.
